“If you have found yourself considering Amanda's services, just do it. You will not regret it. She is helping me transform my side hustle into a legitimate business! Her expertise is top notch, high quality and she truly cares about the success of her clients. I was a one-woman show and now almost a year later, I have a custom team of women inspired by Amanda and her network. She is the sun, and we are her stars :) ”
Strategic Partnerships
Originally founded in 2016 to connect BIPOC entrepreneurs to BIPOC creative professionals, former ad exec and founder Amanda Mailey pivoted in 2020 to center the fastest growing demographic of entrepreneurs, women of color. Using her 20+ years of marketing & ops experience, she saw a gap. With less than 1% of VC funding going to Black and Latinx women and a majority of these businesses only having 0-1 employees, ALIST began to build partnerships with mission aligned freelancers, orgs, and businesses to ensure their clients have what they need to sustain and grow.
Beau Herabat, owner of Rain & Bow Design LLC
“I had the opportunity to collaborate with Amanda, and she was truly the missing piece. Her ability to turn big-picture ideas into clear, actionable plans made everything run smoothly and efficiently. She brought calm, confidence, and clarity to every step of the process, which helped our whole team stay focused and aligned. As a designer, I’ve worked with many people, but Amanda truly stands out. Her strategic mind and thoughtful communication made the work feel purposeful and inspired. She’s not just a great collaborator, she’s the best!”
Women Supporting Women
By 2022, ALIST launched the WSW (Women Supporting Women) program, which serves as a living example of how women founders can work together to bring their ideas to life. Now operating as an ecosystem, ALIST grew from a solopreneur consultant LLC to a network of 500+ women of color founders working as a mid-size company backed by an online community of 5400+ followers uniting for change. Together, we’ve raised $150,000 in 4 years and distributed it to nearly 100 women entrepreneurs through community initiatives that benefit us all.

Her deep connection to the community and willingness to share her network opened doors to invaluable partnerships that continue to benefit my business today. Amanda brought an incredible mix of energy, organization, and strategic insight that elevated the entire project. Her business acumen added a level of sophistication that I continue to learn from, and her creativity and authenticity made every step of the process both inspiring and productive.”

Representation Matters
Often times women-owned businesses, and especially ones owned by women of color, aren’t the front page of mainstream media. It creates a feeling that it doesn’t exist, but in reality it’s one of the fastest growing demographics of entrepreneurs. Through the grace of local founders sharing their story with ALIST, we’re creating a place to read their stories. We hope they inspire another generation of entrepreneurs.
