ALIST Consulting
Connecting community to inspire action and drive growth in small business.
Community Driven
ALIST was established by Amanda Mailey in 2016 to connect BIPOC entrepreneurs to BIPOC creative professionals. By 2020, we specialized in marketing and business solutions for the fastest growing demographic of entrepreneurs, women of color. By 2022, we developed a subsidizing revenue stream of annual community donors and sponsors to invest back into our WSW shared economy, among 500 women founders, with no membership fee. Founders simply show up when they can, how they can.
Investing in BIPOC owned businesses is a daily commitment and our core strategy to build equity in power and leadership in the world. Our flexible pay as-you-need model is key for the ebb and flow of an owner’s journey. With ALIST you get to work with entrepreneurs, who can plug-in at any time to bridge the gap to growth.

Our Mission
Our mission is to advance female entrepreneurship in the PNW by connecting the community to each other while centering communities of color. Women Supporting Women or WSW is not only our mantra, it is also our business model. We bring our vision to life in 4 ways.
STRATEGIC SERVICES
Offered at a sliding scale rate, ALIST’s 1:1 services include: Assessments, Growth Coaching, Capacity Building, Marketing Services, and Activations. With a minimum of 3 hours or $255 investment value, women of color entrepreneurs can receive the help they need, when they need it, from a woman of color entrepreneur, and industry expert.
SMALL BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS
ALIST offers an ecosystem of support. With 1800+ women owned businesses starting every day, there are countless opportunities to match a team of women to fulfill a need. ALIST has worked with hundreds of partners who can be brought in on a project to increase capacity. Looking for an all women led team to bring your idea to life? We can make it happen.
COMMUNITY BUILDING
In 2020, ALIST started an instagram channel (alist_pdx) to help women entrepreneurs find other women entrepreneurs. This space has grown to over 4800 followers and Women Supporting Women (WSW) was formed in 2022 as the organizing body of women founders uniting for change. This group has come together 20 times in organized meet ups designed to invest back into the female entrepreneur community.
CAPITAL INVESTMENT
ALIST fundraises year round to directly invest capital into women entrepreneurs. Through collective fundraising via donors to an annual gofundme campaign, sponsorship programming and event ticket sales, ALIST hires women for WSW projects and offers grants ranging from $250-$1500 depending on money raised. Since 2022, ALIST has raised over $100,000 and distributed it across nearly 100 women-owned small businesses.

Representation Matters
Often times women-owned businesses, and especially ones owned by women of color, aren’t the front page of mainstream media. It creates a feeling that it doesn’t exist, but in reality it’s one of the fastest growing demographics of entrepreneurs. Through the grace of local founders sharing their story with ALIST, we’re creating a place to read their stories. We hope they inspire another generation of entrepreneurs.
