New Annual WSW Fundraiser
On March 12, 2025, we teamed up with 9 different locations to offer specialty menu items as a new fundraiser for the WSW Community Fund. This idea first began when ¿Por Qué No? owner Bryan Steelman offered to donate 10% of all proceeds (up to $1000) in a day from both of their locations. To make this true WSW and to celebrate Women’s History Month, we had 8 women owned locations join in the fun by featuring a dish or drink to share proceeds too. 6 out of the 9 spots were owned by past WSW Hosts and grant winners.
On a rainy Wednesday, this one day only event on March 12, 2025 collectively raised $1514 and funded one of our $1500 WSW Meet Up Host grants. In March 2026, we’re running the campaign all week March 8th-March 14th and kicking off on International Women’s Day! Applications closed on 1/31/2026. 2026 participating locations will be announced soon.
Crowdfunding for Women Founders
Since 2020, women of color have become the fastest growing demographic of entrepreneurs despite receiving less than 1% of venture capital funding. To advance female entrepreneurship, we need equity models that invest in and connect the community across all backgrounds, industries, and stages of business. Since 2022, ALIST starts a new annual GoFundMe campaign to provide grants and subsidize the cost of hiring women to support women. Hundreds of people have invested over 150K in the last 4 years. Please help us get to 6.5K to offer our grants in 2026.
Not only will we raise money for local women owned small businesses, but we will also drive foot traffic to the amazing spots who support us in this collective Women’s History Month campaign.

On March 12th
In 2022, ALIST launched the Women Supporting Women (WSW) Founder Meet Ups to bring much needed support to the restaurant industry. For 10 months, this event series distributed $28,416.74 across 30+ women-owned businesses, while keeping 300+ founders inspired and motivated in the middle of a pandemic. 3 years later, the restaurant industry is helping raise money to fund WSW programming. It’s such a fun full circle moment. We’ve built an incredible ecosystem together. We can’t wait to do it all over again in 2026!
